Beacon has been commissioned to provide an information and advice service across England. Information and advice is accessible in the form of free and comprehensive written guidance, and individuals are also able to access up to 90 minutes of free advice with a trained NHS continuing healthcare adviser.

End of Life Care Core Skills Education and Training Framework

This framework, commissioned by Health Education England, and developed in collaboration with Skills for Health and Skills for Care, sets out the core skills and knowledge that are required in a clear and logical framework, against which local commissioners, services providers and clinical teams can benchmark their own standards, identify areas which need to be improved and take steps to address these.

The Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Proactive Identification Guidance (PIG)

This updated 6th edition of the GSF PIG is renamed as Proactive Identification Guidance (was Prognostic Indicator Guidance) aims to enable the earlier identification of people nearing the end of their life who may need additional supportive care.
